French Composer, Lucas Sonzogni has always been in touch with family piano. But the child is first drawn to the saxophone: a saxophone shines, it's pretty, and then, he wants to play the Pink Panther... Very young, he dives in the world of live performance. At the Theater Réel, led by Luc Montech, Lucas is an actor, assistant director, speaker, sound engineer, sound and stage manager, saxophonist, pianist, and composer.
After three years in the artistic world, Lucas decides it’s time to study again: musical studies.
He joins a course in Musicology at Jean Jaures University, and the Toulouse Conservatory in the Electro-acoustic Composition class of Bertrand Dubedout. With a degree in Musicology, a Sacem Prize and a composition prize, he continues studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon (CNSMD de Lyon) where he gets a degree in Composition, studying with Robert Pascal, Michele Tadini and François Roux.
Agrégation holder, he founds Le Transcontemporain and continue his composer activities. His pieces are played by ensembles like Antiphona lead by Rollandas Muleika, the Seguido choir lead by Valérie Fayet, Archipel lead by Joël Suhubiette, or at the International Piano Competition of Orléans.
